Attendance Policy
Badges
For safety and security reasons, an attendee conference badge is required for admittance to all ATA Conference Sessions and Events, including the Exhibit Hall, Breakfasts, the Welcome Celebration, and AST Day.
- In-Person Registration
You may pick up your badge during registration hours. You may attend all ATA Conference Sessions and Events, unless otherwise indicated. If you have an in-person registration, you may also access the Conference virtually. - Virtual Registration
If you have registered to attend the Conference virtually, you will be sent login information for the virtual portal prior to the Conference. - Welcome Celebration Guest Pass
If you have purchased an in-person Conference registration and you wish to have a guest join you at the Welcome Celebration, you may purchase a Welcome Celebration Guest Pass. This pass allows admittance to the Welcome Celebration on Wednesday, October 27 only.
COVID Waiver
You knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19.
Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your valuable items at all times.
Consent to Use of Photographic Images
Registering for this conference constitutes an agreement to ATA’s use and distribution of your image or voice in photographs and video/audio recordings.
Photography and Recording Policy
Photography, screenshots, or video/audio recordings (without the express permission of ATA, the speaker, or moderator) are strictly prohibited and will result in expulsion from the conference without refund.
Conduct Policy
The American Translators Association (ATA) is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
Participants—including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, ATA staff, and service providers—are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct applies to all aspects of this Program including, but not limited to, sessions, events, meetings, and activities.
ATA has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination, harassment, or other unacceptable behavior by any Participant throughout this Program.
Unacceptable behavior is defined as:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Verbal abuse, including but not limited to
- comments related to gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin;
- inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images;
- threatening or stalking any participant.
- Disruption in any form. All participants must comply with the instructions of moderators and ATA staff.
- Presentations should not contain promotional materials or solicitation for services. ATA reserves the right to remove such content.
ATA reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the conference without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and ATA reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future ATA event.
If you experience or are aware of any incident of unacceptable behavior, please inform the Executive Director at walter@atanet.org so that ATA can take appropriate action.
